When we launched, explainer videos weren’t a “thing” yet. So, we just invented our own term to describe what we did by combining the words Gist and Video. The “gist” is the central idea, the core, the essentials. It implies a quick summary vs. a long-winded dissertation…which was exactly what our videos did. Gist + Video = Gisteo. A company name was born and the rest is history.

How much do explainer videos cost?
Unlike others, Gisteo operates with Total Transparency. We clearly display our rates for standard productions upfront, minus the gimmicks.
The pricing below applies to all our different animated explainer video styles that you can see on our Portfolio page. The only exception would be for special jobs that require extensive 3D work, CAD models, etc. which would need to be quoted on a case-by-case basis. If you’re planning on producing two or more explainer videos, consider becoming a Gisteo Preferred customer– a great way to save big-time money on multiple productions.
